Definition

「draft」の過去形。何かが下書きとして書かれた、または誰かが特に軍隊に選ばれた・徴兵されたことを意味します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

使い方の丁寧さは文脈次第。書類関係では中立または公式、徴兵の場合は法律的。'drafted a letter'や 'drafted into the army' という使い方が多い。スポーツでもチームに選ばれる意味で使われる。
