Definition

確信が持てず、真実かどうか疑う気持ちや態度を表す。何かに納得できない時や疑問を感じる時に使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

形容詞的に名詞の前に使うことが多い（“a doubting person”など）。「doubting Thomas」は簡単に信じない人という意味。完全否定より弱く、「disbelieving」よりも疑念や迷いのニュアンスが強い。
