部屋や建物の出入り口のスペースで、通常ドアが設置されている場所です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

複数形で、物理的な入り口だけでなく比喩的に機会の入口としても使います。「doorwayに立つ」「暗いdoorway」のような表現があります。
