物事や人がいくつかの部分やグループに分けられている状態。または、意見や関係が一致していないこと。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
意見やグループ、領土などでよく使います（例：『戦争で分断された国』）。「over」と共に原因を表す時もあります（politics over など）。フォーマルでもカジュアルでも使えます。
