Definition

何かを複数の部分やグループに分けること。または人々の間で分配すること。数学では数字を別の数字で割る場合にも使う。

「divide the cake」「divide the class」「divide 12 by 3」のように物や人数、数値に使う。日常会話では「split」もよく使う。また、「This issue divides people」のように人を分断するときにも使用。
