दो स्थानों, लोगों या चीज़ों के बीच की जगह या फ़ासले की मात्रा। इसका मतलब रिश्ते में दूरी या भावनात्मक रूप से कम निकटता भी हो सकता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

यह अक्सर 'measure the distance', 'keep your distance' और 'cover a long distance' जैसे प्रयोगों में आता है। रोज़मर्रा की भाषा में यह ज़्यादातर भौतिक दूरी के लिए होता है, लेकिन 'emotional distance' भी बहुत प्रचलित है। इसे 'far' से न मिलाएँ, क्योंकि 'far' आमतौर पर adjective या adverb होता है।
