距離

Definition

指兩個地方、人與物之間相隔的空間長度。也可以指關係上的疏遠，尤其是情感上的不親近。

常和 'measure the distance'、'keep your distance'、'cover a long distance' 搭配。日常中多指實際的空間距離，但 'emotional distance' 也很常見。不要和 'far' 混淆，'far' 通常是形容詞或副詞。

The distance from my house to school is two kilometers.
