遠位（えんい）

身体の中心や基点からより離れた位置にあることを指し、特に解剖学で四肢の部位を比較する際に使われます。

医学や解剖学など専門分野で使われ、「近位（きんい）」の反対語です。日常会話ではほとんど使われません。

The fingers are distal to the shoulder.

指は肩より**遠位**にあります。
