Definition

薬や商品、サービスなどを与えたり提供したりすること。また、何かや誰かを必要としなくなる意味もある。

'dispense medicine'は薬を渡すとき、機械なら'cash'や'water'を自動的に出す時によく使う。'dispense with'は何かを省略する意味。'disperse'（分散する）とは違うので注意。日常会話ではあまり使わない。

The machine can dispense water when you press the button.

この機械はボタンを押すと水を**出します**。
