Definition

ものを素早く液体に浸してすぐに引き上げる動作。また、少しだけ下がる・下げるという意味でも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に食べ物をソースなどに「dipping」する時や、物を染めたりコーティングする時に使います。長時間液体に沈める場合には使いません。太陽が沈みかけている時にも使われます。
