食事をするディナーをとる

Definition

夕食などをフォーマルに食べることを指します。普通の「食べる」よりも格式があります。

カジュアルな会話ではあまり使わず、「dine out」「dine with」「fine dining」など表現で見かけます。普段は「食べる」を使います。

We will dine at seven o'clock tonight.

今夜は7時に**食事をします**。

They love to dine in fancy restaurants.
