Definição
É a forma da terceira pessoa do singular de “die”. Significa que uma pessoa, um animal ou uma planta deixa de viver, ou que uma máquina, bateria ou atividade deixa de funcionar ou chega ao fim.

É usado sobretudo para morte: 'He dies at the end' ou 'The plant dies without water'. Também é comum com aparelhos e baterias: 'My phone dies fast'. Muitos estudantes confundem com o substantivo 'dice'; a pronúncia é diferente.
