日当（出張手当）

Definition

（主にビジネスや職場で）出張などでかかる費用を補助するために従業員に支払われる日当。

「diem」は通常「per diem」で使われ、給料ではなく出張などのための日当を指します。日本語の日常会話では馴染みが薄いです。

The company pays a diem when employees travel for work.

会社は従業員が出張するときに**日当**を支給します。

Each diem covers meals and transportation costs.
