停止生命活動；指人、動物或植物不再活著。

在正式和非正式場合都常用。常見短語如「死於疾病」、「年輕時死去」或「滅絕」。不要與「殺死」（kill，指造成死亡）混淆。

My grandfather died last year.

我的祖父去年**去世**了。

Flowers die if you don’t water them.

如果不澆水，花朵會**枯死**。
