선점권(비격식)먼저 찜하기

Definition

다른 사람보다 먼저 어떤 것을 차지할 권리를 주장할 때 쓰는 비격식적 표현. 보통 'dibs'라고 크게 말함.

매우 비격식적이며 주로 친구, 가족, 어린이 사이에서 사용. 빠르게 'dibs'라고 하면 먼저 차지할 수 있음. 공식적인 자리에서는 쓰지 않음. 'shotgun'보다 더 넓은 의미.

I called dibs on the last piece of cake.

내가 마지막 케이크 조각에 **선점권**을 외쳤어.

Whoever calls dibs gets it first.

누가 먼저 **선점권** 외치면 먼저 가져간다.

You can't call dibs after someone else has taken it.
