Definition

ダイヤモンドはとても硬くて高価な宝石で、よく宝飾品に使われます。また、トランプの「ダイヤ」のマークやひし形を指すこともあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

宝石として複数形で使います。「one diamond」は1個の石を表します。トランプの「ダイヤ」はスートの名前です。「ダイヤ型（ひし形）」と区別しましょう。
