Definition

ダイヤモンドはとても硬く価値のある宝石で、よくアクセサリーに使われます。また、四辺が等しいひし形（傾いた正方形）も表します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

日常的には宝石としての意味が最も多いですが、「diamond shape」のように形を表す場合もあります。アメリカ英語では野球場を指すことも。「diamond ring」「diamond necklace」「diamond pattern」などの表現でよく使われます。
