午前０時から次の午前０時までの２４時間、または昼間の明るい時間を指す言葉。カレンダー上の特定の日も意味する。

挨拶（「Good day」）、日付（「on that day」）、予定を話すときによく使います。「date」（日付やデート）と混同しないようにしましょう。
