降りる下る

Definition

高い場所から低い場所へ移動すること。物理的に降りる場合や、重要性や気分などが下がる場合にも使われる。

やや硬い表現。会話では『降りる』『下がる』が一般的。『descend into chaos』は「混乱に陥る」と訳す。乗り物には『着陸する』を使う。

The elevator descends to the ground floor.

エレベーターが１階へ**降りる**。
