何かや誰かを危険や攻撃から守る人たちのこと。スポーツでは、特に相手の得点を防ぐ選手を指す。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
一般でもスポーツでもよく使う言葉。サッカーでは特に守備の選手を指す表現。例えば「ディフェンダーを務める」などの使い方がある。『守る人』は幅広く使える。
