經過思考後作出選擇，或對接下來該發生什麼作出最終判斷。"Decides" 是動詞的第三人稱單數形式，和 he、she、it 這類主語連用。

常見搭配有 'decide to do something'、'decide on something' 和 'decide that...'. 'Choose' 更強調從選項中挑選，'decide' 更強調作出結論。在日常口語裡，'That decides it' 也表示某件事讓問題塵埃落定。
