谷（たに）

Definição

「dale」は、特に田舎の広くて開けた谷を指す詩的または文学的な言葉です。日常会話ではあまり使われません。

詩や地名、自然を描写する際によく使われますが、日常会話ではほとんど使いません。「valley」のほうが一般的です。

A small village sat in the dale.

小さな村が**谷**にあった。

We walked down into the green dale.

私たちは緑の**谷**へと降りていった。

The river runs through the dale.

川が**谷**を流れている。

From the top of the hill, you could see the whole dale below.
