指按照相同順序重複發生的事件或過程。有時也可指自行車。

“cycles”通常指週期性、循環發生的事物，如經濟週期、自然週期。英式英語中偶爾指多輛自行車，美式英語較少。常見搭配：economic cycles（經濟週期）、life cycles（生命週期）。不要和circles（圓）混淆。
