泣く叫ぶ（助けを求めて）

Definition

悲しかったり痛かったり、うれしかったりして涙を流すこと。また、助けを求めて大きな声を出すこともある。

「cry」は主に涙を流すことを指すが、「cry out」や「cry for help」のように助けを求めて大声を出す場合にも使う。「shout」「scream」とは異なるので注意。

Babies often cry when they are hungry.

赤ちゃんはおなかがすくとよく**泣きます**。
