誰かに王冠を授ける儀式や、その過程の頂点・最も重要な瞬間を指します。成果や達成の最高点に使われることもあります。

比喩的に「crowning achievement」（最大の成果）などでよく使います。医療分野では出産時、赤ちゃんの頭が見えるときにも使います。
