複数の方向から発砲されて間にいる人や物が危険にさらされる状況。または、対立する意見や圧力の間で板挟みになること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

元は軍事用語だが、最近は議論や対立の板挟みになる意味でもよく使う。'crossfireに巻き込まれる' などの形が一般的。
