ゆっくり静かに、目立たないように動くこと。または、何かが徐々に広がったり増えたりすることも指す。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

人や動物がこっそり動く場合や、「creeping doubt」「creeping inflation」のように負のイメージで少しずつ増えることにも使う。'crawling'（這う）とは用法が異なる。
