秘密の隠密の

Definition

他人に見えないように秘密で行われることや、表立って見せない行動などを指します。

主に軍事や法律、諜報活動などの正式な場面で使われます（例:「covert operation」＝秘密作戦）。反意語は「overt」（公然の）です。日常会話ではあまり使いません。
