Để đặt một vật lên trên vật khác nhằm bảo vệ hoặc che kín. Cũng dùng để chỉ bìa sách, tạp chí, hoặc nói đến việc bao gồm nội dung nào đó trong chủ đề.

'che' digunakan baik untuk pengertian fisik (menutup sesuatu) maupun kiasan (membahas topik). 'bìa' hanya untuk sampul buku atau majalah. 'cover for someone' berarti menggantikan seseorang dalam pekerjaan.
