「coup」指突然且非法的政府接管，通常由小團體或軍方發動。也可以指重大的成功或成就。

多用於政治新聞與正式語境，幾乎總是與政變有關。指重大成就時，意思接近“成功的一擊”。發音與「庫」相同。不要與 'coop'（雞舍）混淆。
