Definition

反撃とは、敵の攻撃に対して応戦し、自分を守ったり有利な立場を取るために攻撃し返すことです。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に軍事やスポーツ、競技の場面で使われます。「反撃」は守るだけでなく、相手の攻撃後に積極的に攻め返す意味があります。「防御」とは異なります。
