ソファは、2人以上が座れる長くて柔らかい椅子で、通常リビングルームに置かれます。座ったり、くつろいだり、時には寝たりするために使われます。

「ソファ」と「カウチ」はほぼ同じ意味ですが、日本語では「ソファ」が一般的です。「カウチポテト」はテレビばかり見ている人を指します。
