Definition

建物の中で部屋やエリアをつなぐ、細長い通路のこと。

「corridor」は「hallway」よりもややフォーマルですが、どちらも学校や病院によく使われます。複数の通路を表すときに使います。屋外の通路には使いません。

The students walked down the corridors to their classrooms.

生徒たちは教室に向かって**廊下**を歩いていった。
