人間の身体、特に精神や魂ではなく物理的な身体に関すること。主に形式的、医療、法律、宗教などの文脈で使われる。

やや形式的な語です。「corporal punishment（体罰）」「corporal injury（身体的損傷）」のように使われます。軍隊の階級での 'corporal' とは別なので注意。
