도망칠 수 없는 곤란한 상황에 몰린 것. 신체적으로나 심리적으로 벗어나기 힘든 경우에 사용.

실제 공간에서 도망칠 수 없을 때와 심리적으로 압박을 받을 때 모두 사용. 'feel cornered', '질문에 궁지에 몰렸다' 등 상황에서 흔함.

The dog felt cornered and barked loudly.
