Definition
Bir mahkemenin bir kişinin suçlu olduğuna resmi olarak karar vermesi. Ayrıca hapse girmiş, suçu kanıtlanmış kişiye de denir.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
Daha çok yasal ve resmi durumlarda kullanılır. 'convict someone of...' kalıbı mahkemede suçlu bulunmayı anlatır. Sadece mahkeme kararı sonucu kullanılır, 'şüpheli' veya 'suçlamak' ile karıştırmayın.
