会議やイベントのために人々が正式に集められた状態を表します。特に委員会やチームなど公式な集まりで使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に公式な会議や委員会などで使われ、「was convened」のように受動態で使われることが多いです。カジュアルな集まりには使いません。

Examples

The committee convened at 9 a.m. to discuss new rules.

委員会は午前9時に新しい規則を話し合うために**招集された**。
