Definition

打撲傷とは、皮膚やその下の柔らかい組織が損傷し、色が変わるが皮膚が破れない状態を指す医学用語です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

日常会話では「青あざ」「あざ」とも呼ばれ、医療現場やフォーマルな文脈で「打撲傷」「挫傷」が使われます。「脳打撲傷」など特定の怪我にも用いられます。傷が切れていない場合にのみ使用します。
