Definition

যখন দুই বা এর বেশি পক্ষের মধ্যে কোনো বিষয় নিয়ে তীব্র মতভেদ, ঝগড়া বা প্রতিযোগিতা হয়, তখন সেটিকে বলা হয় 'বিতর্ক'।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

এটি সাধারণত আনুষ্ঠানিক বা শিক্ষাগত প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়; দৈনন্দিন কথোপকথনে খুব বেশি শোনা যায় না। 'point of contention', 'source of contention', 'in contention for' বাক্যাংশে ব্যবহার হয়। 'content' বা 'contest'-এর সঙ্গে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না।
