"দূষিত" সাধারণত পানি, খাদ্য, মাটি, রক্ত বা প্রমাণের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটি গুরুতর স্বাস্থ্য বা নিরাপত্তার ঝুঁকি বোঝায় এবং শুধুমাত্র 'ময়লা' নয়, বরং অদৃশ্য বা বিপজ্জনক উপাদান থাকার ইঙ্গিত দেয়।
