領事是由本國派往其他國家城市的官員，負責協助本國公民並促進本國利益。

「領事」多在國際外交語境下使用，通常指在領事館服務的官員（不同於大使館）。請勿與更高階的「大使」混淆，領事主要協助本國在外公民。
