何かを考えたり情報を得たりした後にたどり着く意見や判断。また、物事の最終部分や締めくくりにも使われる。

主に論文やレポートなどの分析・研究の文脈でよく使われる。「conclusionsを導く」「conclusionsに至る」などの表現で用いる。物語の終わり（エンディング）とは区別される。
