Definition

物事の仕組みや基本的な仕組み、考え方を表す考えやアイデアのこと。全体像を捉えた抽象的な内容に使われます。

日常会話から学術・ビジネスまで広く使われます。「basic concept」「main concept」「コンセプトアート」などの表現に登場します。'idea'よりも幅広く抽象的な場合に多いです。

The teacher explained the concept slowly.

先生はその**コンセプト**をゆっくり説明しました。
