何かを見えないようにしたり、秘密にしたりすること。意図的に誰かに知られないようにする場合に使います。

フォーマルな場面や報道、法律文書でよく使われます。「武器を隠す」「証拠を隠す」など。軽い意味の「隠れる」とは違い、重大な場合に使われます。

He tried to conceal the evidence from the police.

彼は警察から証拠を**隠そう**とした。
