区画コンパートメント

Definition

区画とは、バッグや引き出し、乗り物などの中にある、物を分けて収納したり整理したりするための仕切られたスペースです。

カバンや引き出し、電池や列車など、はっきり区切られた空間に使われます。「a compartment in a bag」「battery compartment」「train compartment」など。日常会話でも使うが、やや技術的な印象があります。

My bag has a small compartment for coins.
