しばらく活動を休止した後、再び成功や名声を取り戻すこと。「カムバック」は会話で機転の利いた返しにも使われます。

有名人やチームが再び注目や成功を得る時によく使う。会話では『good comeback』は機転の利いた返しを意味する。「come back」（動詞）とは区別すること。
