高校や専門訓練などのための高等教育機関。'Colleges'は'college'の複数形です。

アメリカ英語ではほぼすべての高等教育機関を'college'と呼びますが、イギリス英語では意味が異なります。'Colleges'は必ず2つ以上の機関です。'universities'と混同しないでください。
