Definition

コイルは、ワイヤーやロープなどをぐるぐる巻いたり丸くねじったりしたもの、またはその渦巻き状の形を指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「コイル」は電子機器や機械、日常生活でワイヤーや髪、ヘビなどが巻かれた形に使われます。液体や平たいものには用いません。『ワイヤーのコイル』『髪のコイル』などが一般的です。
