관은 장례 때 고인의 시신을 넣어 매장하거나 화장할 때 사용하는 길쭉한 상자입니다.

'관'은 주로 장례식 등 엄숙하거나 공식적인 상황에서 사용합니다. 미국 영어에서는 'casket'라는 표현도 많이 사용됩니다. '나무 관', '열린 관' 등의 표현과 함께 쓰입니다. 살아 있는 것에는 사용하지 않습니다.
