Definição

コートは、主に寒さを防ぐために上に着る服を指します。また、塗料などが表面に塗られた層も意味します。

たいていは厚手の上着を指します。「jacket」はより軽く短いです。「winter coat」「raincoat」「a coat of paint」（ペンキの層）などの表現に注意しましょう。
